Who will perform the work?

Your project is in the hands of one of our very own experienced team members whose goal is to help you receive the best outcome, both in the quality and in the overall process. From your first request to the completion of your project, GrayOwl Handyman is your one point of contact, relieving the stress of home improvements.

What about licensing and insurance?

GrayOwl Handyman is fully insured, is bonded, and is a registered general contractor.

What happens to the project debris?

We are proud of the work we do and can’t wait for you to show it off. That’s why any debris created through the process of our work is cleaned up and hauled away.

Like you, many of our team members have furry friends that we love. And as curious as these friends are, we ask that they are secured away from our team members and where the work is being performed. We want to make sure your friends are safe and can’t escape your home while we are there. Chasing animals down the street is a sprint that we are not trained for.

I have pets, what should I do with them while your team is at my home?

How will you protect my home through the process?

Each task has a different way to address how to protect you and your home. We utilize drop cloths and floor coverings to protect the carpet, LVP, or other flooring in your home. Sometimes the work is dusty and to combat this we use plastic barriers to help contain the dust in the area we are working. In addition, we can use HEPA filters to help minimize the dust flowing to other parts of the house. These are only a few examples of what we do to protect your home and make the process more enjoyable.

Do I have to be home while the work is being performed?

The short answer is typically yes. The homeowner requesting the work to be done must meet our team member at the time of appointment. The long answer is, if the work requires a second visit to complete the same job (i.e. - a job takes more than one day), the homeowner will need to be available each day or provide us with a physical house key or door code to gain entry to the home. Clients will need to be present at time of completion for payment and sign-off on work.

I had something unexpected come up and need to change my appointment? 

If this happens, we will work with you to find the next available date to perform your work. Sometimes we have cancellations that allow for a new time to be in the near future and other times we have to schedule out a bit. In the end, our goal is to help you complete your project in a timely manner.

What about when your team member is running late to my appointment?

Each day our team members can address anywhere from one job to multiple jobs. We like to think we are pretty good at scheduling all these. However, sometimes the unexpected happens which delays the completion of a job prior to yours starting that day. This in turn may affect the start of your project. Our first step will be to find another team member who can meet you at the appointed time. If this is not possible, our team will connect with you and give a new time window. This doesn’t happen often, but when it does, we take it seriously and do our best to arrive at your home as soon as possible.
